Starting this year, tenants across NEO’s seven buildings can conveniently drop off old electronics such as phones, computers, chargers, and other devices for proper recycling.
This initiative highlights NEO’s commitment to sustainability by addressing the growing challenge of electronic waste. With this partnership, NEO strengthens its role as a leader in sustainable development, creating a pathway toward a more environmentally conscious future in real estate.
“We at HMR Envirocycle are thrilled to partner with NEO. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our shared vision of a future with zero waste to landfills,” said Warren Carman, Vice President of Technology of HMR Philippines Inc. “As an internationally accredited e-waste management specialist, we are equipped to handle all types of electronic waste responsibly. Our goal is to ensure that every item collected from the e-waste bins placed in NEO properties finds its way back into the circular economy, minimizing environmental impact and maximizing resource recovery. “
“This partnership with HMR Envirocycle aligns with our sustainability goals by providing tenants with an easy and effective way to recycle e-waste,” said Gie Garcia, Co-Managing Director and Chief Sustainability Officer of NEO. “As an office real estate developer, we recognize the role we play in reducing environmental impact. E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally, and programs like this are essential in ensuring proper disposal and recycling to protect the environment for future generations.”
NEO’s e-waste recycling program also reflects the company’s broader commitment to sustainability, innovation, and tenant experience. “In our industry, sustainability is not just a responsibility, it’s a necessity. By integrating programs like e-waste recycling, we not only reduce our environmental footprint but also inspire our tenants to participate in building greener communities,” added Raymond Rufino, CEO of NEO.
This program marks another step forward in NEO’s mission to lead sustainable practices in the real estate industry while driving meaningful partnerships that benefit the environment and the communities it serves.
